Battery Chemistry and Electrical System Integration

🚧 Under development.

This companion monograph asks a broader systems question: what battery behavior best supports the electrical assumptions of a modernized BMW Airhead?

The paper develops the battery as a DC-bus component, reviews current, voltage, power and energy relationships, compares lead-acid/AGM, LiFePOâ‚„ and sodium-ion architectures, and examines the implications of BMS-controlled disconnection. The engineering investigation culminates in the selection of the NWT BATX.265 sodium-ion battery for the intended motorcycle architecture.

The paper is not an argument against lithium chemistry and does not present sodium-ion as a universal answer. The selection is treated as an integration decision tied to a specific electrical system.
